Job summary

GreenC Marine Ltd in Kerry invites a motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing team. You will support tender preparation, prepare design documentation and assist the project delivery team on site with method statements and risk assessments across marine civil engineering projects.

We welcome candidates with a Civil Engineering degree and 2+ years of experience, with strong leadership and communication skills, and driving licence valid for Ireland/UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years Civil Engineering experience.
• Irish/EU/UK driving licence.
• Permission to work in Ireland and the UK.
• Marine civil engineering experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the delivery team with tender preparation, pre-start planning, programming and organisation prior to the start of the project.
• Preparation of drawings, programmes, QHSE documentation and tenders along side GreenCs management team.
• Ensuring document compliance with contract requirements and health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Understanding Health & Safety requirements to assist the project manager in preparing method statements, risk assessments, site inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Working with the delivery team to ensure the project is managed effectively.

GreenC Marine Ltd is a specialist Marine Civil Engineering contractor based in Kerry who carry out high profile projects throughout Ireland and the UK. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing company with excellent scope for career development and promotion. GreenC Marine carry out a wide variety of marine based civil Engineering projects including offshore renewables, cable landings, dredging, ports and harbour construction and commercial diving. Whilst marine civil engineering experience is desirable it is not essential to a motivated candidate with Civil Engineering project experience. GreenC Marines management team have many years experience in marine civil Engineering projects and will provide mentorship and guidance in the marine aspects of the civil Engineering projects. The role will be office based and will involve the preparation of documentation, drawings and design management to assist the project delivery team on site. We have an immediate vacancy for a motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the delivery team with tender preparation, pre start planning, programming and organisation prior to the start of the project
• Preparation of drawings, programmes, QHSE documentation and tenders along side GreenCs management team
• Ensuring document compliance with the contract requirements, and all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental standards

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification
• Marine Civil Engineering experience is desirable but not essential
• 2 years + Civil Engineering experience
• Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and experience of relevant industry standards, specifications, regulations, contract documents, and works methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Irish/EU/UK driving licence
• Permission to work in Ireland and the UK
