Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants seeks an experienced Civil Engineer with 10+ years to join a multidisciplinary firm operating across commercial and residential sectors in a Dublin or Limerick hybrid setting.

The role focuses on drainage network design, foul sewers, watermain layouts, and surface water systems, with involvement in meetings and site visits. A Level 8/9 degree and Civil3D/MicroDrainage proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Level 8/9 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as Civil Engineer.
• Experience with Civil3D and MicroDrainage software.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of roads design or earth works is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design drainage networks for large-scale commercial and residential projects.
• Design foul sewers, watermain layouts, and surface water drainage including attenuation and sustainable drainage devices.
• Attend design team meetings, contractor meetings and site visits.
• Possibility to manage projects and a small team depending on experience.

Dublin or Limerick Hybrid Working Interesting Projects

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm operating across a wide range of engineering sectors. The successful Civil Engineer will be involved in an array of Civil projects and will report to the Senior Associates, receiving excellent support and guidance.

Responsibilities

• The successful Civil Engineer will have the opportunity to undertake all aspects in the design of drainage networks for large scale Commercial and Residential projects.


• Drainage Design Foul Sewers, Watermain Layouts, Surface Water network designs including surface water attenuation including sustainable drainage device design.


• As Civil Engineer you will be attending design team meetings, contractor meetings and site visits.


• Opportunity to manage projects and a small team, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Level 8 / 9 Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.


• At least 8 years experience working in the role of Civil Engineer.


• Experience in design software such as Civil3D and MicroDrainage .


• Good understanding of levels and gradients An ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment and an ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines.


• Knowledge/Understanding of Roads Design an advantage, but not essential.


• Knowledge/Understanding of Earth works an advantage, but not essential.
