Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Cork office on a hybrid basis. The role covers drainage, water and road design for national and international projects, with involvement in planning, tender and construction documentation.

We offer a supportive environment with mentoring, CPD opportunities and a pathway toward Chartered status. Applicants must have a Level 8 Civil Engineering degree and relevant software experience.

Qualifications

• A level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of drainage and water/road design tools and standards.
• Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments.
• Experience in a design office with BS EN ISO standards.
• 3+ years design office experience on civil projects.

Responsibilities

Design Civil Engineer

*Irish Owned Engineering Consultancy with Large National and International Projects*

Civil Engineer with 2-3+ years experience required to join one of the largest Irish-owned consultancies with a diverse client base across an increasingly broad range of industry sectors.

You will be based in their Cork office, they also have offices in Galway, Dublin and Limerick.

Projects include Healthcare, Education, Industrial and Pharmaceutical. The successful Civil Engineer will be working as part of a team on the design of drainage, water and roads for a broad range of national and international structural engineering projects. You will assist in the preparation of planning, tender and construction documents. This company offers a really positive work environment with great mentoring.

Sample projects: Project Opera Limerick, Dalymount Park, Dept of Education, Docklands Shopping centres.

Qualifications

• A level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, TRICs, Tuflow, HEC-RAS, EPANet.
• Familiarity with DMURS.
• Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments.
• Excellent understanding of the engineering principles behind drainage, roads and water system design.
• Experience in working in accordance with BS EN ISO standards.
• 3+ years experience in a design office assisting in the preparation of drawings for Civil engineering projects.
