Job summary

Sheridans Cheesemongers Ltd. in Tralee is seeking seasonal shop team members for the Christmas period. No previous cheesemongering experience is needed; you will help serve customers, prepare cheese, build hampers, and support deliveries.

Qualifications

We're looking for seasonal team members to join Sheridans Cheesemongers over the busy Christmas period. From serving customers and preparing cheese to building festive hampers and keeping things running behind the scenes, you'll be part of the team that makes Christmas at Sheridans happen.

No previous cheesemongering experience is needed. An interest in cheese and good food is preferred, but not essential. What's most important is a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and an enjoyment of working with customers and as part of a team.

You’ll receive in-house training, work alongside experienced cheesemongers, and get to know some of the exceptional cheeses and foods we stock.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, helpful service in a busy retail environment.

• Preparing, caring for, and displaying cheese and other products to a high standard.
• Supporting the team with deliveries, stock rotation, and keeping the shop well organised.
• Preparing and presenting festive food hampers.
• Keeping counters, fridges, and work areas clean and tidy.
• Helping the team deliver a smooth and enjoyable customer experience throughout the busy Christmas period.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine interest in food, cheese, or artisan products is preferred, but not essential.
• Friendly, confident communication and a willingness to engage with customers.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
• Flexibility and availability to work 4-5 days per week, including weekends, to support business needs.
• Previous retail or food experience is helpful, but full training will be provided.

Pay: 18 years old- €11.40 | 19 years old- €12.80 | 20 years old + - €14.25
