Job summary

S Sheridan's Cheesemongers is seeking seasonal team members for the busy Christmas period in Ireland. No cheesemongering experience required; enthusiasm for cheese and good food is valued. You will learn on the job, receive in-house training, and enjoy a great staff discount on Sheridans products.

Roles include welcoming customers, learning about cheese and artisan foods, helping with hampers, and maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness during the festive period.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in food or artisan products is preferred, but not essential.
• Friendly, confident communication and a willingness to engage with customers.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
• Flexible and available to work 4-5 days per week, including weekends.
• Previous retail or food experience is helpful, but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, helpful service in a busy retail environment.
• Learning about and sharing knowledge of cheese, artisan foods, and the producers behind them.
• Helping customers choose products, discover new flavours, and find the perfect pairings.
• Preparing, caring for, and displaying cheese and other products to a high standard.
• Supporting the team with deliveries, stock rotation, and keeping the shop well organised.
• Preparing and presenting festive food hampers.
• Keeping counters, fridges, and work areas clean and tidy.
• Helping the team deliver a smooth and enjoyable customer experience throughout the busy Christmas period.

We're looking for seasonal team members to join Sheridans Cheesemongers over the busy Christmas period.

From serving customers and preparing cheese to building festive hampers and keeping things running behind the scenes, you'll be part of the team that makes Christmas at Sheridans happen.

No previous cheesemongering experience is needed. An interest in cheese and good food is preferred, but not essential. What's most important is a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and an enjoyment of working with customers and as part of a team.
