Job summary

Sheridans Cheesemongers Ltd. in Cornelscourt, Dublin, is hiring seasonal Cheesemongers/Retail Assistants for the Christmas period. You’ll welcome customers, learn about artisan cheeses, and help create festive hampers in a busy shop.

No cheesemongering experience is required—just an interest in cheese and great customer service. You’ll receive in-house training and friendly team support during a vibrant holiday season.

Love good food, meeting people, and learning something new?

We're looking for seasonal team members to join Sheridans Cheesemongers over the busy Christmas period. From serving customers and preparing cheese to building festive hampers and keeping things running behind the scenes, you'll be part of the team that makes Christmas at Sheridans happen.

No previous cheesemongering experience is needed. An interest in cheese and good food is preferred, but not essential. What's most important is a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and an enjoyment of working with customers and as part of a team.

At Sheridans, we believe great food is about more than what's on the counter. It's about the people who make it, the stories behind it, and sharing that with our customers. Working with us is an opportunity to learn about Irish and European artisan food, develop your retail skills, and be part of a team that cares about what it does.

You'll receive in-house training, work alongside experienced cheesemongers, and get to know some of the exceptional cheeses and foods we stock. There's also a great staff discount on Sheridans products.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine interest in food, cheese, or artisan products is preferred, but not essential.
• Friendly, confident communication and a willingness to engage with customers.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
• Flexibility and availability to work 4-5 days per week, including weekends, to support business needs.
• Previous retail or food experience is helpful, but full training will be provided.
