Job summary

Allied Health/Nursing seeks a Social Care Worker to join our agency team, supporting temporary emergency residential placements for children and young people. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, child-centred care in a safe, therapeutic environment.

This agency role offers flexible assignments across a range of children’s residential services while maintaining high standards of care and professional practice.

Qualifications

• Level 7 or 8 Social Care qualification required.
• Experience in residential, disability or community services desirable.
• CORU registration or application in progress required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to challenging situations.
• Compassionate, team-focused approach to care.
• Full Irish driving licence and access to a car.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people.
• Build positive, therapeutic relationships that promote safety and wellbeing.
• Support daily routines, education, health and social development.
• Contribute to implementation of individual care plans and placement goals.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children and young people at all times.
• Accurately maintain records, reports and daily documentation.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, families and other professionals.
• Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours and crisis situations.
• Promote a positive, respectful living environment.
