Job summary

Legend Trading is expanding its regulated payments and digital asset footprint in Europe and seeks a senior Chief Risk Officer for Legend Financial Ireland Limited. You will own the enterprise risk framework, risk appetite, and second-line oversight, reporting to the Board Risk Committee and the Central Bank of Ireland.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in e-money, payment institutions or banks, with strong governance, regulatory engagement and a proactive approach to risk management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in risk management at regulated financial institutions.
• At least 3 years leading a second-line risk function in e-money, payments, bank or investment firm.
• Experience engaging with the Central Bank of Ireland or other regulator on authorisation or inspections.
• Currently residing in Ireland with right to work.

Responsibilities

• Own, enhance and embed the enterprise risk management framework and risk appetite.
• Oversee KRIs, risk reporting to the Board Risk Committee and Board.
• Lead second-line oversight of regulatory capital, liquidity and wind-down planning.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Internal Audit and external auditors within the three lines of defence.
• Engage with regulators on EMI authorisation and ongoing supervision.
