Job summary

Biosimulytics, partnering with Ingenio, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join its executive leadership team in Dublin. This isn’t a traditional COO role; it combines technical credibility, commercial instinct and operational leadership to scale a deep-tech business globally.

As a key leader, you’ll own operations from onboarding to global delivery, drive partnerships, and build scalable processes while reducing reliance on the CEO/CTO.

• Proven experience scaling a high-growth technology startup.
• Strong technical background in Physics, Chemistry, CS or related field.
• Experience in pharma, drug discovery or life sciences.
• Excellent commercial and customer-facing communication.

Ingenio is partnering with Biosimulytics to make one of the most important hires in the company’s next stage of growth.

Biosimulytics is moving from product development into commercial scale, and we’re searching for a Chief Operating Officer to join its executive leadership team and work closely with the CEO and CTO.

But this isn't a traditional COO role - It’s a rare opportunity for someone combining technical credibility, commercial instinct and operational leadership to help shape how an ambitious deep-tech business scales globally.

The role

You’ll become a key leader responsible for turning commercial growth into a scalable operation.

You could be discussing complex technology with a pharmaceutical customer one day, leading a deployment or partner negotiation the next, and then building the processes needed to support international growth.

You’ll:

• Scale and operationalise the business as it grows.
• Lead customer onboarding, deployments and delivery.
• Own commercial operations from customer acquisition through implementation.
• Partner with the CTO on technical sales, customer engagements and solution presentations.
• Lead commercial negotiations and relationships with key third-party partners and suppliers.
• Build scalable processes, systems and operational infrastructure.
• Oversee business operations, commercial performance and financial oversight.
• Reduce operational dependency on the CEO and CTO as the company scales.

We’re not looking for a traditional corporate COO. We’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between scientists, customers, commercial negotiations and operational execution.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Proven experience scaling a high-growth technology startup.
• A strong technical background in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience within pharma, drug discovery, drug development or life sciences.
• Strong commercial and customer-facing experience, with the credibility to support complex technical sales conversations.
• The ability to quickly understand and communicate sophisticated scientific and technical concepts.
• A hands-on, builder mentality – comfortable creating processes, solving problems and wearing multiple hats.
• Dublin-based and comfortable with hybrid working,
