Job summary

Inland Fisheries Ireland invites applications for Head of Digital Transformation & ICT, a senior role leading ICT strategy, operations and the organisation’s digital transformation agenda. The post sits on the Executive Leadership Team and requires strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and delivery of a unified Digital Strategy aligned with the 2026–2030 plan.

The role oversees enterprise architecture, governance, budgets and delivery of measurable digital value, with a hybrid working

Qualifications

• A recognised third-level qualification, at a minimum of NFQ Level 8, in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• Significant Information Technology experience at a senior level in a complex organisation, including senior stakeholder engagement while managing resources and risk at an executive leadership level.
• A full clean Category B driving licence that is valid in Ireland.
• Significant vendor management and financial budget management experience – capital and operating expenditure.
• Project management experience, including the use of a project management methodology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a digital transformation agenda and oversee the day-to-day ICT operations.
• Lead on enterprise architecture and a Digital Strategy aligned with the 2026–2030 plan and IFI priorities.
• Oversee governance, risk, and compliance across ICT to ensure best practice standards.
• Manage ICT budgets and vendor relationships to maximise value for money.
