Vincent's Private Hospital, with early start times from 6.00am to 6.00pm. The successful candidate will hold a Higher Certificate in Professional Cookery-Level 6 or equivalent and have 2-3 years of busy kitchen experience, with solid HACCP knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Catering qualification Level 6 (Higher Certificate in Professional Cookery) or equivalent.
• Currently employed as a Chef in a restaurant or hospital kitchen.
• Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, suitability and professional ability required to perform the duties of Chef Grade II.
• Experience in a busy kitchen with good chefing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with management and staff.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Knowledge of HACCP and Food Legislation.
• Good organizational skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility; ability to adapt to change.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Conscientious and reliable.
• 2-3 years experience in a busy kitchen environment.

Salary Scale €42,486- €48,853 LSIs

Essential Criteria

• Have obtained a suitable Catering Qualification (Higher Certificate in Professional Cookery-Level 6) or equivalent.
• Be currently employed as a Chef in Restaurant/ Hospital Kitchen
• You must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, suitability and professional ability required to perform the duties of the Chef Grade II position
• Have experience working in a busy Kitchen and be able to demonstrate good chefing skills.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management, staff.
• Fluency in the English Language is an essential requirement for the post
• Working Knowledge of HACCP and Food Legislation.
• Good organizational skills.
• A positive and committed approach to your work.

Further Details

Salary will be in line with the Department of Health and Children's salary scale.

Uniform will be provided.. Kitchen operational times are from 6.00am-6.00pm
