Job summary

The Merrion Hotel in Dublin is recruiting a full-time Chef de Partie to join our professional Kitchen Team. Centrally located, you will work with an experienced team and uphold high standards of mise en place and food presentation.

Shifts are 5 over 7, 39 hours per week. We offer training and a range of employee benefits including competitive pay, meals on duty, uniforms cleaning, pension, health cover, and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Essential: Minimum 3 years experience.
• Essential: Level 7 qualification (Diploma or Ordinary Bachelor).
• Desirable: Catering, customer service, hospitality, interpersonal skills.
• Desirable: HACCP, manual handling, teamwork and initiative.
• Languages: English C1-Advanced.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each team member is aware of responsibilities and complies with health, hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ensure Mise en Place is completed on time to the highest standards.
• Help prepare orders for fresh and dry store items daily.
• Ensure proper rotation of stock in refrigeration.
• Deputise in the absence of the Junior Sous Chef.
