Job summary

Avoca operates in 13 locations across the country and remains devoted to its time-honoured traditions while looking to the future. We are hiring a Chef de Partie for a permanent part-time position (30 hours per week) with an immediate start in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin, Ireland.

You will prepare dishes to Avoca standards, maintain HACCP and health & safety compliance, assist with menu planning and ordering, and lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food for our guests.

Qualifications

• Relevant culinary qualification or experience.
• 2-3 years in a Professional kitchen.
• Experience of HACCP documentation.
• Experience of menu planning.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
• Professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards in food hygiene, service & presentation (HACCP & Health & Safety Legislation).
• Assist with menu planning and menu costings to achieve budgeted gross profit margin.
• Assist with food orders ensuring suppliers from approved list are used.
• Ensure daily Food Safety/Quality records are carried out in the kitchen.
• Lead the team to deliver high standards of food for clients.
• Check, probe, and sign off on all food deliveries to ensure quality produce.
• Ensure food presentation is innovative and temperatures are recorded.
• Assist with stock takes and review kitchen hazard list weekly with Head Chef.
• Maintain good communications with client, customers and staff.
