Job summary

Galway Bay Hotel, part of the Hodson Bay Group, is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie in Salthill, Galway. You will work across Banquets, Café/Carvery, Bar and Grill, bringing culinary flair to a collaborative team in a busy hotel kitchen.

The role is full-time (39 hours/week) with a flexible 5-day schedule. Candidates should have at least 1 year in a busy kitchen and a strong passion for high-quality food, with HACCP compliance and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a busy kitchen at Chef de Partie level.
• Strong passion for preparation and presentation of exceptional food.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment and take initiative.
• Excellent communication in English and HACCP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food items according to menu specifications, ensuring top-quality standards.
• Staying prepared and organised for the daily business in-house.
• Working with the team to consistently exceed guest expectations with every dish served.
• Managing stock control and placing orders as necessary.
• Leading and supporting kitchen team members to maintain a positive work environment.
• Adhering to food hygiene practices, HACCP compliance, and kitchen safety protocols.
• Maintaining kitchen equipment and reporting any issues promptly.

About the Role:

AsChef de Partie, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of kitchen stations, includingBanquets, Café/Carvery, Bar, and Grill. This is your chance to make an impact with yourculinary skillswhile contributing to a collaborative, friendly atmosphere. This is a full-time position of 39 hours per week. Applicants must be flexible to work a 5-day week across Monday to Sunday.
