Job summary

Tolka Valley Nursing Home, part of Ethos Care Group, is seeking a talented Chef to join our new catering team. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, catering to dietary needs and preferences.

You’ll work with care staff to ensure variety and high standards of food safety. As part of a brand-new facility, you’ll contribute to menu planning, kitchen operations, and ongoing compliance, with on-site responsibilities and excellent team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have HACCP and food safety knowledge.
• Experience in healthcare catering is advantageous.
• Organised, reliable and able to work in a busy kitchen.
• Legal right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals for residents
• Catering for individual dietary requirements and preferences
• Supporting menu planning and introducing variety to mealtimes
• Maintaining excellent HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards
• Managing food storage, stock rotation and waste reduction
• Working closely with the catering and care teams
• Supporting kitchen inspections and compliance requirements

About You

• Qualified Chef or relevant professional catering experience
• Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
• A genuine passion for cooking and quality ingredients
• Understanding of nutrition and special dietary requirements
• Organised, reliable and comfortable working in a busy kitchen
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Experience in healthcare or nursing home catering is an advantage
• Legal right to work in Ireland
