Sheridans Cheesemongers Ltd. on Bandon Road (Bishopstown Court) is seeking a cheesemonger for full and part-time positions. No previous cheesemongering experience required; genuine passion for food and great conversation welcomed.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or food experience is helpful but not essential.

• Friendly, confident communication and listening skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and delivering exceptional service in a lively retail environment.
• Sharing knowledge about Irish and European cheeses and producers.
• Recommending flavours, pairings, and products with confidence.
• Caring for cheese to present it at its best.
• Maintaining attractive product displays and signage throughout the day.
• Receiving deliveries and organising stock correctly.
• Supporting stock rotation and reducing waste.
• Maintaining food safety standards, HACCP records, and allergen awareness.
• Keeping counters, fridges, and storage areas clean and well organised.
• Assisting with seasonal displays, including hampers.
