Job summary

Savills Ireland seeks a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and commercial advice across a range of property projects in Ireland. You will work with Building Surveyors, Project Managers and other teams to develop and shape a new service line within the firm.

Essential expertise includes MRICS/MSCSI, 10+ years’ PQE, contract knowledge and strong Excel skills, with a proactive, client‑focussed approach and driving licence.

Qualifications

• Chartered Quantity Surveyor with MRICS or MSCSI designation.
• Minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement routes and cost management principles.
• Experience delivering pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying services; strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills; proficient with Excel and cost management software.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and cost plans across project stages.
• Provide feasibility studies, development appraisals and value engineering.
• Prepare bills of quantities, tender documentation and evaluate tenders.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts and final accounts.
• Provide commercial reports and client cost consultancy across procurement and construction phases.
• Coordinate with Building Surveyors, Project Managers and external consultants.
