Job summary

The Rehab Group is hiring a Canteen Cleaner in Ireland. The role is permanent, part-time (12 hours per week) in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, with responsibilities for hygiene and general cleaning in canteens and NLN centre facilities.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a related role and knowledge of cleaning chemicals, health and safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• No Formal education required.
• 1 year relevant experience in a related role.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Knowledge of health & Safety.
• Ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Hygiene and Safety Standards Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the canteen by following all Health, Safety, and Hygiene regulations.
• General Cleaning Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising all surfaces to keep the canteen in an orderly condition.
• Use of Cleaning Equipment Operate cleaning machines and equipment (e.g., hoovers, polishers, boilers) safely and effectively.
• Waste Management Empty bins and transport waste to designated areas as required.
• Monitor and Report Needs Check cleaning supplies and report low stock or maintenance needs to ensure continuous operation.

Canteen Cleaner Permanent, Part-time 12 hours per week Monday to Friday Roseville, Western Rd, Cooleens, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary

Job Purpose

The principal duties of the cleaner is to have responsibility for all aspects of hygiene maintenance and good housekeeping within the services and canteens within the NLN centre in accordance with all elements of Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and legislation.

Salary

Salary starting from €28,521.77 (pro-rata) equivalent to €15.24 per hour, is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
