Job summary

The Rehab Group is a charity and inclusive employer in Co. Tipperary, providing services to people with disabilities. We are seeking a canteen cleaner to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis (12 hours per week) at Roseville, Western Rd, Cooleens, Clonmel.

The role focuses on hygiene maintenance, safe cleaning practices, and teamwork to support daily canteen operations. No formal education is required, but 1 year of relevant experience and knowledge of cleaning chemicals and health &

Responsibilities

• Maintain Hygiene and Safety Standards: Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the canteen by following all Health, Safety, and Hygiene regulations.
• General Cleaning Duties: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising all surfaces to keep the canteen in an orderly condition.
• Use of Cleaning Equipment: Operate cleaning machines and equipment (e.g., hoovers, polishers, boilers) safely and effectively.
• Waste Management: Empty bins and transport waste to designated areas as required.
• Monitor and Report Needs: Check cleaning supplies and report low stock or maintenance needs to ensure continuous operation.

Canteen Cleaner

Job Purpose

The principal duties of the cleaner is to have responsibility for all aspects of hygiene maintenance and good housekeeping within the services and canteens within the NLN centre in accordance with all elements of Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and legislation.

• 1 year relevant experience working in a related role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Knowledge of health & Safety
• Ability to work with others

Your Responsibilities

Salary starting from €28,521.77 (pro-rata) equivalent to €15.24 per hour,issubject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
