Job summary

Apleona in Finisklin Business Park, Co. Sligo, is seeking a Part-Time Catering Assistant. You will assist in daily food preparation, service, and maintaining HACCP standards while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

The role requires reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team across school-related shifts. Working pattern includes Monday, Wednesday and Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• At least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity.
• Clear communication with managers, kitchen staff, and School staff & Students.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the Canteen’s recipes, portioning, and serving standards
• Fill in where needed to ensure customer service standards and efficient operations
• Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules, in an organised and timely manner
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the canteen’s preventative maintenance programs
• Report any violations of company policies, rules, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with HACCP regulations
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for floors, mats, walls, other equipment, and food storage areas
• Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points
• Maintain professional appearance at all times, clean and well-groomed in accordance with company standards and uniform policy
• Develop a positive working relationship with fellow workers and customers, and avoid conflict
• Attends training sessions as required

At Apleona, we are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Catering Assistant to be based in Finisklin Business Park, Co. Sligo

Working Pattern: Monday and Wednesday, 10am - 3pm, Friday 10am to 6pm

Main duties and responsibilities
