Job summary

3Q Recruitment Ltd. is assisting a Nenagh-based service to recruit a Care Support Worker in a structured, community-focused environment. The role provides day-to-day support to individuals with intellectual disabilities to help build routines and independence.

You will work with care plans, HIQA-aligned standards, and a team of Social Care Workers to deliver person-centered care, promoting dignity and choice in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification (Social Care, Healthcare, or related discipline preferred).
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or in similar settings.
• A consistent, reliable, and people-focused approach.
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional practice.
• Manual Handling & First Aid training (or willingness to complete training).

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily routines.
• Encourage independence through consistent, practical support.
• Assist with community activities and engagement.
• Build positive, trusting relationships.
• Promote dignity, choice, and person-centred care.
• Work alongside Social Care Workers and wider teams.
• Follow care plans and HIQA-aligned standards.
