Job summary

Prosper Meath Limited is recruiting Care Assistants to join our Day Services teams in Navan, Watergate Street and Canon Row. One maternity leave cover position is available in each service and you will support adults with intellectual disabilities and autism to build independence and meaningful daily lives.

You will work with families and professionals, deliver person-centred supports, help people achieve goals, and contribute to planning and records.

Qualifications

QQI Level 5 major award in Healthcare Support or Health Service Skills required.
Full, clean manual driving licence required.
Experience supporting people with disabilities.
Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills.
Positive, person-centred approach with commitment to helping people achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

Deliver person-centred supports around each individual's needs and preferences.
Help individuals identify and work towards their personal goals.
Support independence and everyday living skills.
Create opportunities for community involvement, social activities and meaningful relationships.
Work closely with families, colleagues and other professionals.
Contribute to personal planning and maintain accurate records.
Deliver supports in line with New Directions and Prosper's values.
