Job summary

Horizons - Cope Foundation in Cork Communities is recruiting Care Assistants to support people with intellectual disabilities and autism in residential and community settings across Cork City & County. Roles are full-time, permanent, with a 78-hour fortnight, day and night shifts.

Successful applicants will work in Horizons residential or day service locations, with a person-centred, community-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare/Intellectual Disability (all 8 modules completed).
• Good understanding of current legislation (ADMA, UNCRPD).
• Excellent team working skills, initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm.
• Fluency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Support people with intellectual disability in residential or day services.
• Work as part of a team to implement person-centred plans and support strategies.
• Record and report daily progress and maintain accurate records.
• Be flexible to day and night shift patterns and locations across Cork.
