Job summary

UPMC Ireland is seeking a Bank Cardiac Physiologist for Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny. The role covers ECGs, stress testing, Holter, BP and event monitoring, plus pacemaker/ICD follow-up and echocardiography.

You will contribute to the department's day-to-day running, maintain records, and support teaching and policy development. A Diploma in medical physics and physiological measurement with ASCT and 3 years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• ASCT qualification or equivalent.
• Diploma in medical physics and physiological measurement.
• Three years’ experience at Basic Grade Cardiac Technician level.
• Experience in echocardiography and/or cardiac catheterisation.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs, stress tests, Holter monitoring and BP/event monitoring analyses.
• Assist with pacemaker and ICD implant follow-ups.
• Conduct Echocardiography and Cardiac Catheterisation procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports for procedures.
• Participate in teaching and development of department policies.
• Ensure equipment and records are properly maintained and stored.
