Job summary

Dexcom Ireland in Athenry is seeking a calibration/metrology professional to support measurement systems and product quality. You will calibrate, verify and test equipment, maintain compliant records and participate in audits.

A strong focus on accuracy, traceability and regulatory readiness is required. You will work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure instruments remain reliable and fit for purpose while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and a comprehensive

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of calibration or metrology experience.
  • Relevant technical qualification as described (Level 6/7 in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Metrology, Quality or related).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proactive team player with effective communication across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, verification and functional testing of measurement and test equipment per approved procedures.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records, certificates and documentation for quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve calibration-related issues to minimize impact on operations and product quality.
  • Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives with technical expertise and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to keep measurement systems accurate and fit for purpose.

As part of a highly skilled team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement systems that support product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. From maintaining and calibrating critical equipment to solving technical challenges and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, your work will have a direct impact on the success of the organization.

Where You Come In
  • You will perform calibration, verification, and functional testing of measurement and test equipment in accordance with approved procedures and schedules.
  • You will maintain accurate calibration records, certificates, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • You will troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve calibration-related issues, ensuring minimal impact to operations and product quality.
  • You will support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives by providing technical expertise and maintaining a state of audit readiness.
  • You will collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to ensure measurement systems remain accurate, reliable, and fit for purposes.
What Makes You Successful
  • You will have 2–4 years of calibration or metrology experience, with a strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and quality system requirements.
  • You will hold a relevant technical qualification, such as a Level 6/7 qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Metrology, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • You will possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accurate completion of calibration activities and associated documentation.
  • You will be a proactive team player with strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
