If so, then we have an opening for you!Under the direction of the Engineering Technical Supervisor, Engineering Technician 3 will provide technical support to equipment engineers for the improvement, installation, validation and transfer of replicate custom automated equipment used in the scale-up of manufacturing for existing or new Dexcom products. These duties include supporting cross functional equipment deployment teams while working with outside suppliers to meet equipment specifications and timelines.**Where you come in:*** You will work with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.* You will test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test equipment* You will operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.* You will analyse and record test results, and prepare written documentation* You will perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.* You will carry out activities in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer. These activities include the assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, completing engineering studies and validations.* You will follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag out (LOTO) program.* You will assume and perform other duties as assigned.* You will perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.* You will update equipment related documentations (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.**What makes you successful:*** Typically requires a Level 6/7 qualification and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience* Ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications* Ability to write routine reports, pass downs and correspondence* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and managers* Knowledge and experience with PLC and Automated production/process equipment, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electro/Mechanical systems, Resistance welders, Packaging equipment highly desirable.* Experience with process improvement projects i.e. improving yields, reducing downtime* Proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills* Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processes* Technical writing skills as applied to manufacturing documentation and process development - Experienced in the creation and revision of technical documentation**What you’ll get:*** A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
