Job summary

O'Hehirs is hiring a full-time Assistant Manager for our cafe at ATU Galway, Wellpark Road. The role offers term-time hours with weekends, bank holidays and college closures off when preferred, reporting to the Area Manager.

You will lead a small team, deliver excellent service, and help manage daily food preparation with enthusiasm. Responsibilities include rota scheduling, ordering, till operations and cashing up, plus coaching new staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a similar role
• Confidence handling cash and operating a till accurately
• Experience managing a small team and scheduling shifts
• Excellent customer service and food quality focus

Responsibilities

• Schedule weekly rota for a team of 3
• Build rapport with ATU senior team and seek opportunities to increase hospitality support
• Submit weekly orders to head office kitchen team
• Operate till and complete end-of-day cashing-up procedures
• Serve hot food with focus on quality and presentation
• Keep work area clean, organized and welcoming
• Support colleagues in busy periods, including wash-up area
• Welcome and train new team members and support their settling in
