Job summary

The Heritage in Ireland is launching Blath cafe, a fresh space offering great coffee, wholesome food and a memorable guest experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to support daily operations, welcome guests, and deliver excellent service.

You will help prepare and serve quality coffee, assist with food prep, and maintain a clean, inviting environment seven days a week. Weekend and bank holiday flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Previous cafe/coffee shop experience desirable.
• Barista skills a plus with willingness to learn.
• Interest in food preparation and quality service.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Friendly, proactive, team-oriented attitude.
• Attention to cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly with friendly, professional service.
• Prepare and serve quality coffee; maintain high beverage standards.
• Assist with food preparation and presentation of wholesome food.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety throughout the cafe.
• Keep counters and seating areas tidy and well presented.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures for service readiness.
• Restock supplies and keep service areas organized.
• Respond to guest queries promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with Cafe Supervisor and team for smooth operations.
• Follow procedures and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
