Job summary

Centra Ireland in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown is seeking a customer-focused cafe assistant to support daily operations and deliver outstanding service. You will engage customers with warmth, promote our food and beverages, and maintain the caf to Centra brand standards.

Experience in hospitality and customer service is valued, with barista skills considered a plus. A positive, energetic approach helps you thrive within our Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community-Based culture.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Barista experience is desirable but not essential.
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
• Passion for food and coffee with the ability to inspire customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver exceptional service to ensure satisfaction.
• Adhere to caf standards, policies, and guidelines at all times.
• Help customers learn about our food and beverages.
• Answer queries professionally and in line with store policy.
• Present and merchandise the caf to the highest standard.
• Keep all caf areas clean and compliant with food safety standards.

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the caf operates efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service at all times.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Previous experience in the hospitality sector (caf, restaurant, hotel) an advantage;
  
• Barista experience is desirable but not essential;
  
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage;
  
• Passion for food, coffee and ability to inspire customers;
  

Main duties:

• Actively live Centra brand-values i.e. Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community-Based;
  
• Always ensure that customer satisfaction is the number one priority by greeting each customer as if it€,,s their first visit to the caf and consistently deliver an exceptional service;
  
• Adhere to all standards required including the policies, procedures, instructions and guidelines set out for the caf;
  
• Assist customers to improve their knowledge of our food and beverages;
  
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store/caf policy;
  
• Merchandise and present the caf to the highest standard at all time and in accordance with relevant guidelines;
  
• Ensure that all areas of the caf/your area are kept clean and tidy to the required food safety standards.
