Job summary

Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a CAD/CAM Programmer for SolidCAM expertise in a high-precision medical-grade environment, Waterford, Ireland. You will create and optimise toolpaths for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines, and develop production-ready CNC programs.

Relocation is available and you will collaborate with machinists, engineers, and QA to push process improvements while maintaining strict H&S and cleanroom standards.

Qualifications

• Proven SolidCAM experience in a production environment.
• Strong 5-axis CNC programming background.
• Able to program and prove out across 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.
• Solid grasp of machining processes, tooling, and cutting strategies.
• Hands-on, detail-focused, quality-driven.

Responsibilities

• Support CNC operators with production-ready programs.
• Manufacture one-off and small-batch components to tight, medical-grade tolerances.

• Maintain high standards of H&S and cleanroom compliance.

Syntech Recruitment are working with a world-renowned manufacturer to find an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer with strong SolidCAM expertise. This role sits at the heart of a precision machine shop — creating, optimising, and proving CNC programs for high-precision, medical-grade components across 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.

If you know SolidCAM inside out and want to work to the tightest tolerances in the industry, this is a role with real ownership.

Relocation package available. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

What you'll do

• Create and optimise toolpaths using SolidCAM
