Job summary

Actavo Group in Ireland is hiring aField Maintenance Technician to service and repair network equipment on-site. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot basic optical issues, and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.

The role requires practical knowledge of maintenance processes, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organisational and communication skills. A company pension, life cover and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills required
• Problem-Solving Skills: identify issues and source information to resolve problems quickly
• Time Management: plan and execute routine maintenance activities and troubleshoot
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Health and Safety procedures within your work.
• Rodding & Roping using specialised tools on the UG Network, clearing blockages where necessary
• Troubleshoot and repair basic optical issues
• Perform routine Optical Node, RF Amplifier and End of Line testing and balancing
• Using plant test equipment
• Maintain and interpret records of daily work logs, data recordings, and network design maps
• Work to achieve KPI’s set out by both the Client and Actavo
• Schedule relevant and appropriate maintenance checks and inspections
• Positively promote the client’s brand, through on-site performance

• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times
