Job summary

ICDS Recruitment Consultants Ltd seeks a Business Unit Director – Construction & Energy to lead a new energy business unit across Ireland and the UK. The role ensures safe, profitable delivery of major energy infrastructure projects including renewables and grid connections.

You will oversee the full lifecycle from bid to handover, driving governance, commercial performance and client satisfaction while building strong teams and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 15+ years' experience delivering major energy or power infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex project portfolios.
• Expertise in energy generation, renewables, substations and grid infrastructure.

Lead the delivery and growth of a newly formed Energy Business Unit across Ireland and the UK. This executive leadership role is accountable for the safe, profitable and successful delivery of major energy infrastructure projects, including renewables, BESS, CHP, substations, grid connections and power generation.

You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from bid and planning through construction, commissioning and handover, while driving commercial performance, operational excellence, governance and client satisfaction.
