About the Role
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimisation of Medguard's business systems, reporting processes, and data integrity across the organisation. This role supports operational teams through accurate reporting, system administration, data management, and process documentation, while helping ensure consistency and efficiency across key business platforms and integrations.
Working closely with stakeholders across Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, and Leadership, the Business Systems Analyst provides actionable insights, supports business reporting needs, maintains data quality, and identifies opportunities to improve processes and automate routine activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Business Systems Administration
- Support day-to-day administration of NetSuite and other business systems.
- Maintain master data and ensure data accuracy across systems.
- Support user access, role management, and data governance controls.
- Monitor system performance and elevate issues where necessary.
- Support testing and implementation of system enhancements and updates.
Reporting and Business Intelligence
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve operational and management reports.
- Support the Digital Transformation Lead to:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting across departments.
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports to support business decision-making.
- Analyse business data and trends to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Present findings in a clear and actionable format to stakeholders.
Data Management and Integrity
- Manage and monitor data imports, exports, and integrations between systems.
- Conduct data validation, cleaning, and integrity checks.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of business data across platforms.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
- Support data governance and quality improvement initiatives.
Process Improvement and Documentation
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automation.
- Document and maintain SOPs, workflows, and reporting procedures.
- Support continuous improvement projects across operational functions.
- Assist in the implementation of new tools, processes, and technologies.
- Monitor recurring integrations and elevate issues where necessary.
Stakeholder Support
- Act as a key point of contact for departmental reporting and data requests.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand processes and related information requirements.
- Provide training and guidance on business systems and reporting tools where appropriate.
Adherence to GDP Guidelines (2013/C343/01)
- Ensure all activities comply with GDP requirements for the storage, handling, and distribution of products.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory standards and apply them consistently in daily operations.
Other Duties

Required Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Business Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting business systems, ERP platforms, reporting functions, or data analysis activities.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, dashboards, data validation, and analysis.
- Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and operational performance metrics.
- Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence and visualisation tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Experience working with large datasets, including data validation, cleansing, and integrity management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills, with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
- Experience supporting system integrations, data imports, exports, and interfaces.
- Experience documenting business processes, SOPs, and system procedures.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements or automation opportunities.
- Experience working within project teams, sprint cycles, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with data modelling and reporting architecture.
