Job summary

KPMG Ireland is hiring to join our Risk Consulting team in Dublin. The role sits in a hybrid working model at Senior Associate / Manager level, requiring strong financial modelling background and client-facing experience in financial services.

The successful candidate will design, develop and document complex models, use SQL/Power BI and related tools, deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines, and contribute to client engagements while building our capability and career progression.

Qualifications

• 3 years+ post-college experience in a related field.
• Background in financial services, corporate finance, or advisory is preferred.
• Experience designing, developing or reviewing financial models used to support business decisions.
• Familiarity with data modelling and handling large datasets.

Due to continued growth and opportunities to support our clients, we have opportunities at both Senior Consultant and Manager level for candidates with astrong financial or business modelling background, ideally supported by relevant financial services experience, commercial acumen and model development . The successful candidate will join our Risk Consulting team in Dublin.

We are specifically interested in hearing from candidates from an accountancy, audit, corporate finance, advisory or financial services industry background, ideally with experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.

The successful candidate should have at least 3 years post college experience.

A snapshot of your peer group:

• Our business Modellers typically have strong financial modelling skills requirement, including excellent knowledge of Excel, with experience in designing, developing or reviewing models used to support business and financial decision-making.
• Experience using complementary technologies, such as VBA, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or Generative AI tools, to enhance modelling, analysis, automation and reporting would be an advantage.
• Experience in data modelling and management, integration and manipulation of large datasets.
• Strong commercial awareness and a demonstrable ability to understand the industry, financial and operational drivers underpinning a business model.
• Experience of client-facing roles with a high quality of delivery to tight timescales.
• Good communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong attention to detail is required; and
• Ability to think logically and work through problems from start to finish.

• Design, develop and document complex business models.
• Design review strategies (including re-calculation strategies) to validate client’s models and identify risks.
• Developing analytical and reporting solutions including extracting data using SQL and processing and reconciling large data sets.
• Carry out relevant analysis and present your findings (both written and orally)
• Contribute to developing an outline of key client issues and the scope of work.
• Developing scoping and planning documents for assurance projects with an IT element.
• Contribute to project teams and take responsibility for completing high quality work within agreed timescales; and
• The successful candidate will also be required to deliver to tight deadlines in a project environment where additional hours may be required to meet deadlines
