Job summary

KPMG Ireland in Dublin is seeking a Senior Associate/Manager as a Business Modeller in Risk Consulting. You design and develop complex models, support client decisions, and ensure rigorous validation and documentation of modelling work.

We welcome candidates with 3+ years post‑college experience and strong financial or business modelling skills, plus expertise in Excel and data tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau. This is a hybrid role in Ireland with client exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and document complex business models.
• Design review strategies (including re‑calculation strategies) to validate client’s models and identify risks.
• Develop analytical and reporting solutions including extracting data using SQL and processing and reconciling large data sets.
• Carry out relevant analysis and present your findings (both written and orally).
• Contribute to outlining key client issues and the scope of work.
• Develop scoping and planning documents for assurance projects with an IT element.
• Contribute to project teams and deliver high quality work within deadlines.
• Be prepared to work extra hours to meet tight project deadlines.

Due to continued growth and opportunities to support our clients, we have opportunities at both Senior Consultant and Manager level for candidates with a strong financial or business modelling background, ideally supported by relevant financial services experience, commercial acumen and model development . The successful candidate will join our Risk Consulting team in Dublin.
We are specifically interested in hearing from candidates from an accountancy, audit, corporate finance, advisory or financial services industry background, ideally with experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.
The successful candidate should have at least 3 years post college experience.
A Snapshot Of Your Peer Group

• Our business Modellers typically have strong financial modelling skills requirement, including excellent knowledge of Excel, with experience in designing, developing or reviewing models used to support business and financial decision‑making.
• Experience using complementary technologies, such as VBA, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or Generative AI tools, to enhance modelling, analysis, automation and reporting would be an advantage.
• Experience in data modelling and management, integration and manipulation of large datasets.
• Strong commercial awareness and a demonstrable ability to understand the industry, financial and operational drivers underpinning a business model.
• Experience of client‑facing roles with a high quality of delivery to tight timescales.
• Good communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong attention to detail is required; and
• Ability to think logically and work through problems from start to finish.
