Business Development Manager
The Fruit People · Dublin · €40,000 base salary · €75,000+ OTE (Uncapped Commission)
captured market demand across Dublin, powering 1,000+ companies with fresh fruit, artisan coffee, workplace snacks, office catering, and fully managed kitchen solutions.
Built on a decade-long foundation of quality service and referral-led expansion, we are entering an intentional growth phase. We are hiring a commercially minded Business Development Manager to spearhead new logo acquisition and expand our market footprint across Dublin.
This is an end-to-end B2B sales position with complete deal ownership.
Operating out of our Dublin HQ alongside the commercial team, you will manage both inbound leads generated by marketing and proactive outbound pipeline creation. You will own every stage of the sales motion—from cold outreach and initial contact to closed contract—focusing on securing high-margin, long-term business partnerships.
Lead Engagement & Discovery: Conduct thorough discovery calls and on-site meetings to map prospective client priorities, budget structures, and buying processes.
Solution Design & Sampling: Build tailored proposals that hit client specifications and commercial margins; coordinate product samples, tastings, and on-site trials.
Territory & Field Sales: Perform targeted site visits and face-to-face meetings across Greater Dublin.
Stakeholder Management: Build rapport across diverse buying centres, ranging from Office Managers and Workplace Experience Leads to Procurement and C-Suite decision-makers.
Commercial Negotiation: Drive contract negotiations with confidence, closing opportunities while strictly protecting profitability margins.
Seamless Onboarding: Manage initial account setup and lead a clean transition to the Account Management team post-close.
Pipeline Governance: Maintain total CRM hygiene in HubSpot, tracking clear next steps, precise deal velocity, and realistic revenue forecasting.
Deal Prioritization: Balance quick-turn, transactional wins with longer-cycle, high-complexity enterprise accounts.
Our service offerings range from recurring weekly fruit and pantry deliveries for boutique offices to comprehensive, multi-site food and beverage managed solutions for major corporate campuses. You will apply sound commercial judgment to tailor your sales velocity and approach depending on the scale and complexity of the lead.
You will work directly alongside our Co-Founder, who currently oversees new business acquisition. During your initial onboarding, you will co-sell on live deals to master our product matrix, pricing models, and target buyer profiles. As you gain momentum, you will take full autonomy over pipeline execution, playing a direct role in shaping our sales strategy and growth trajectory.
