Job description

Ireland|Reports to: Head of Sales|Full-time / Permanent

We are Good Culture. It’s not just a name; it’s a commitment. We passionately believe that we can enhance human health and wellbeing through doing good business. What manufacturers put in their products, and what consumers put in their bodies, matters; therefore, we source with integrity, craft with intention and innovate for the needs of today’s customer. We supply the ingredients and partnerships that help developers and manufacturers craft better beverages: better for business, better for people, better for the planet.

Our mission and approach to business - as well as the world-class products in our range - have served us extremely well. We’ve quadrupled revenue in the last three years, with a clear plan for further accelerated growth. To help deliver this, we’re looking for an exceptional Strategic Business Development Manager who strives for greatness and wants to build their own future. Does this sound like you?

The opportunity

Building new partnerships with new customers around the world is our number one commercial priority, and this is a revenue-generating role at the centre of it. You’ll work with our existing BDM, from first contact through to signed agreement and initial delivery.

The focus of this role is to develop a pipeline that is both big enough to support our growth ambitions and well enough qualified to deliver them, across the sectors we serve: multinational drinks businesses, brewers, co-packers, flavour developers and beverage manufacturers. You’ll often be the first person from Good Culture a prospect ever speaks to, and much of the job is making the case for functional beverages as a category rather than simply selling Good Culture. It's as much a technical sell as a relationship one.

What you’ll do

•Source, develop, manage and close high-value commercial opportunities

•Work with the Head of Sales to prioritise the highest-potential categories, regions and customer types, build the proposition and execute the strategy to a successful outcome

•Craft and deliver sales propositions that land with differing customer profiles, and negotiate terms that work for both sides

•Own forecasting, reporting and performance for your portfolio

•Bring market data and voice-of-customer insight back into product development and brand positioning

•Transfer onboarded customers to Account Management cleanly and well-briefed, sharing the playbooks that help the wider team

What you’ll bring

•A proven B2B new-business record, ideally, though not essential, in beverage, food ingredients or FMCG; building pipeline from scratch and converting it into meaningful revenue and margin

•Asharp qualification instinct, sizing up an opportunity fast and walking away from a bad one as readily as leaning into a good one. Strategic and hands-on in equal measure.

•An entrepreneurial and self-starting mindset, comfortable without a well-worn path. You see things through, and you’re straight with people about where things stand.

•Excellent communication - listening first, then written and verbal

•Coachability:you take feedback well and can adapt a pitch mid-conversation when the room tells you to.

Useful, though not essential

•Technical or scientific grounding, academic or professional

•Additional languages

•An interest in continuous improvement, health, the environment and sustainability

How we work

Our values aren't a poster on the wall - they shape how we operate and how we hire:

•We value and respect every individual. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard and appreciated.

•We act with integrity, take pride in doing what’s right, and stay open and honest in all we do.

•We care about people and about the work. We support each other, and ask for support when we need it.

•We lead by example, every day, whatever our title.

The essentials

•Location: Home-based / remote, with the right to work in Ireland

•Reports to: Head of Sales

•Travel: regular, including international, to visit prospective customers

•Salary: Competitive package (base + commission + invite to staff bonus scheme)
