Job summary

Howdens Joinery in Ireland is seeking a Business Developer to grow our local depot by building relationships with existing trade customers and converting conversations into opportunities. You will generate leads, arrange appointments and support the depot team to meet sales targets.

You should be confident on the phone and face-to-face, with a commercial mindset, self-motivation and reliability. A strong team culture and excellent incentives are offered.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator capable of speaking to customers on the phone and face to face.
• Enjoys building relationships and turning conversations into opportunities.
• Commercially minded with a focus on driving sales.

• Organised and reliable, able to manage customer activity and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Calling existing trade customers to build long term relationships and grow future business.
• Using customer data to spot inactivity and bring accounts back on track.
• Managing a targeted customer list and achieving daily call activity levels.
• Arranging surveys and appointments for our Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promoting products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
• Supporting administration, including invoicing and general depot tasks.
• Working closely with the wider team to help the depot hit its targets and deliver great service.
