Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland in Dublin is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical delivery across the full project lifecycle.

We are seeking a results-oriented Business Analyst to support the delivery of innovative and complex technology solutions. Acting as the key link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for analysing business needs, defining requirements, supporting solution design, and ensuring successful delivery throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, document, validate, and prioritise business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and requirements refinement activities.
• Create and maintain high-quality business analysis artefacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, use cases, functional specifications, and requirements traceability documentation.
• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable solutions, working closely with developers, architects, UX designers, testers, and other technical stakeholders.
• Support solution design activities and identify opportunities for process improvement, simplification, and optimisation.
• Manage and maintain requirements, user stories, defects, and delivery progress using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
• Support Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Act as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect triage, requirements traceability, and business validation.
• Facilitate stakeholder decision-making by presenting analysis, solution options, risks, impacts, and recommendations in a clear and structured manner.
• Support deployment, business readiness, training, operational handover, and post-implementation continuous improvement activities.
• Manage risks, dependencies, issues, and scope changes, ensuring delivery outcomes align with business objectives and agreed project scope.

Required Skills And Experience

• 4-6 years' proven experience in Business Analysis within technology delivery environments.
• Strong experience gathering, analysing, documenting, validating, and managing business and technical requirements.
• Proven experience developing functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability artefacts.
• Experience working as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools to manage requirements, user stories, defects, and delivery progress.
• Experience supporting application development, digital transformation, or technology delivery programmes.
• Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Experience supporting testing activities including SIT and UAT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery outcomes.

Desirable Skills And Experience

• Experience delivering digital transformation, customer-facing platforms, online services, or transactional solutions.
• Experience working within public sector, government, or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and business trends including Cloud, APIs, Microservices, Generative AI, and Internet of Things (IoT).
• Familiarity with custom application development environments (e.g. Java, .NET).
• BABOK, BCS Business Analysis, Agile, Jira, Azure DevOps, or related certifications.
• Experience coordinating demonstrations, user training, and business readiness activities.
• Familiarity with accessibility, security, audit, and data protection requirements.
• Experience working within regulated industries such as Utilities, Financial Services, Public Sector or Communications.
• Experience working with CRM and case management platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, supporting requirements definition, functional configuration, process optimisation, and business change initiatives.
