Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers is seeking a Lean transformation consultant for a Dublin-based, 2-year contract with hybrid working (3 days on site). The role focuses on analysing end-to-end workflows, mapping current-state processes and designing optimized future states to eliminate waste.

You will baseline data, apply core Lean tools, and lead cross-functional workshops to deliver measurable improvements that tie to business value and financial metrics.

Qualifications

  • Analyse end-to-end workflows and map current state processes.
  • Baseline FTEs and perform qualitative and quantitative data analyses.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen events, Kanban, JIT, Poka-Yoke, Standardized Work, 5 Whys, Fishbone, A3.
  • Collect baseline metrics (takt time, cycle time, lead time, throughput) and use Minitab or workflow modelling.
  • Gain buy-in across all levels from shop floor to executive leadership.
  • Run Kaizen events and cross-functional problem-solving sessions.
  • Shift mindsets toward Kaizen and sustain improvements.
  • Link improvements to financial metrics, customer value and strategy.
  • Experience managing project scopes, milestones and timelines.

Job description

2-year contract – up to €54 per hour – 9 hours a day

Dublin based – hybrid working – 3 days a week onsite

  • Ability to analyse end-to-end workflows, map current state processes, identify non-value-added activities (waste), and design optimized future states.
  • Ability to baseline FTE's and establish both qualitative and quantitative data analyses.
  • Deep practical knowledge of core Lean tools including 5S, Kaizen events, Kanban systems, Just-In-Time (JIT), Poka-Yoke (error-proofing), Standardized Work, and Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, A3 problem-solving).
  • Proficiency in collecting baseline process metrics (takt time, cycle time, lead time, throughput rates) and leveraging statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) or workflow modelling platforms.
  • Ability to get buy-in across all organizational levels, from shop-floor frontline workers (Gemba walks) to executive leadership.
  • Ability to run focused Kaizen events, cross-functional problem-solving workshops, and process design sessions that foster active team engagement.
  • Ability to shift organizational mindsets toward continuous improvement (Kaizen) and empower internal teams to sustain improvements long after the consulting engagement ends.
  • Ability to connect operational improvements directly to financial metrics, customer value, and overall business strategy.
  • Experience managing project scopes, milestones, timelines, and cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet client objectives.
Experience:
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
  • Able to analyse processes and information in a structured way.
  • Good understanding of basic Lean principles, including identifying waste, duplication, unnecessary hand-offs, bottlenecks and opportunities to simplify processes.
  • Process Mapping & Documentation
  • Able to capture how processes currently operate, produce clear process maps and document pain points, improvement opportunities and proposed future-state changes.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Confident and professional when engaging with subject-matter experts and wider programme stakeholders. Building relationships is also important.
  • Clear Communication
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarise information clearly and concisely and produce good-quality outputs.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced transformation environment where priorities may change. Takes initiative, learns quickly and is willing to pick up new tasks or subject areas with appropriate support
