Job summary

Jobtailor in Ireland is seeking a Business Analyst/Reporting Analyst to produce regular management reports and dashboards, analyse key metrics, and provide actionable insights to management.

You will develop reporting solutions, support forecasting and budgeting, and collaborate with stakeholders across functions. Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau and Salesforce is highly valued, and you must be eligible to work in Ireland.

Qualifications

Third-level qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Experience in a Business Analyst or Reporting Analyst role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Experience producing management information, performance reporting and business insights.
Advanced Excel skills.
Attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Experience with BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Experience supporting forecasting, planning or budgeting.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.

Produce and maintain regular management reports and dashboards
Monitor and analyse key business metrics, trends and performance indicators
Identify opportunities, risks and emerging trends through data analysis
Support delivery of business performance reporting to management and key stakeholders
Develop reporting solutions that improve visibility, consistency and decision-making
Conduct forecasting, trend analysis and scenario modelling to support business planning
Analyse business performance and provide actionable insights and recommendations
Assist management in evaluating business opportunities and areas for improvement
Support budgeting, forecasting and planning activities through analytical input
Translate data into meaningful management information and business intelligence
Support production and ongoing development of performance scorecards and reporting frameworks
Assist in tracking performance against agreed objectives and key metrics
Provide analytical support to managers and business stakeholders
Ensure performance data is accurate, timely and actionable
Contribute to continuous improvement of performance measurement processes
Support data quality improvement initiatives across business systems and processes
Assist in maintaining data integrity, consistency and governance standards
Identify data issues and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions
Contribute to development and enhancement of reporting and data management processes
Support business readiness activities associated with system and technology initiatives
Build strong working relationships across business functions
Act as a key liaison between operational teams and support functions regarding reporting and analysis requirements
Gather and document business requirements for reporting and analytical needs
Present findings, insights and recommendations clearly and concisely
Support projects and initiatives requiring analytical expertise and business insight

Requirements

Third-level qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline
Previous experience in a Business Analyst, Sales Operations Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar analytical role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
Experience producing management information, performance reporting and business insights
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience working with stakeholders across different business areas
Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
Experience using business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau or similar)
Experience supporting forecasting, planning or budgeting activities
Knowledge of data governance and data quality management practices
Experience working within financial services or a regulated industry
Relevant professional qualifications or industry certifications would be an advantage
Eligibility to work in Ireland
