Job summary

BEAM Services in Ireland is seeking a part-time Bus Driver (20-25 hours per week) to join the Bagenalstown service, with opportunities across locations as needed. Shifts are split, for example 8.00am-10.00am and 3.00pm-5.00pm, and a relief panel may be created.

The role requires a full Irish Driving License (B), a genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Full Irish Driving License (B) is essential.
• Bus or van driving experience is desirable.
• Interest or experience with individuals with an intellectual disability and their families is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and highly motivated.
• Team working skills are essential.
• Record keeping skills are required.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive the service bus in Bagenalstown and across locations as needed.
• Work split shifts (e.g., 8.00am-10.00am and 3.00pm-5.00pm).
• Participate in the relief panel of drivers as required.

Job description

We are recruiting a Part-time Bus Driver (20-25 hours per week).

The post is based mainly out of our Bagenalstown Service, but you may be required to work across all locations from time to time. Working hours will be split shifts, for example 8.00am-10.0am & 3.00pm-5.00pm (these hours may vary). We are also recruiting to create a relief panel of “as and when” bus drivers.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required

• A full Irish Driving License (B License) is essential.
• Bus or van driving experience is desirable.
• A strong interest or experience of working with Individuals with an Intellectual Disability & their families is desirable.
• Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be highly motivated.
• Team working skills are essential.
• Record keeping skills are required.
• Must have the ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

We Offer

• Salary linked to HSE (Jan 2024) Scales €33,224-€37,524 p/year pro-rata (this equates to €16.38 to €18.50 per hour)
