Job summary

North Star Transport Ltd in South Dublin is seeking part-time School Bus Drivers for the upcoming school year. You will provide safe, courteous transport for school children, including wheelchair-accessible vehicles, in collaboration with an on-board escort.

Roles are part-time, 20 hours per week during the school year (September–June) with 14 days of annual leave plus public holidays. Garda vetting and medical clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Full, clean B driving licence.
• Eligible for Garda Vetting (no criminal record).
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Willingness to complete a driver’s medical and Garda Vetting.
• Desirable: previous experience driving minibuses or buses.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a minibus transporting school children.
• Use wheelchair clamping and restraint systems where required.
• Work collaboratively with the on-board escort.
• Maintain a professional and child-focused approach at all times.

The Role

We are currently inviting applications forPart-Time School Bus Drivers to join our team for the upcoming school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, courteous, and professional transport service to school children. This role includes driving wheelchair-accessible vehicles and working closely with an on-board escort to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.

Key Responsibilities

Hours & Contract

20 hours per week (Part-Time) School year contract: September June 14 days annual leave, plus public holidays

Salary

Salary €400 gross per week D1 Minibus Licence holders €300 gross per week B Licence holders
