Job summary

Air Products Ireland Limited in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, is seeking an experienced Electrician/Mechanical Technician for our Industrial Gases bulk gas team.

The role focuses on operation, maintenance and safety compliance, with hands-on support for electrical, mechanical, instrument and analytical equipment. The successful candidate will hold an Electrical or Mechanical diploma or apprenticeship, have trouble-shooting experience, and be familiar with SCADA/PLC systems, MS Office, and strong

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical diploma or related apprenticeship required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshooting techniques experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• SCADA and PLC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment on a day-to-day basis.
• Align with site safety programs including BSP and LSO training compliance.
• Assist CPS investigations and determine root causes of failures.
• Provide hands-on support for hardware/software field problems (bulk gas, instrument, electrical, mechanical, analytical).
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and raise overall equipment uptime.
• Interface with customers, attend module meetings and support audits.

Our Industrial Gases group delivers a wide range of highly niche solutions to customers in a variety of industries, providing safe, reliable and cost-effective equipment and systems. For our larger customers we design and construct gas storage facilities on site.The Technician will provide engineering, operations and maintenance support with a strong focus on health and safety, as well as electrical and mechanical technical expertise.Duties Include:Day to day operation & maintenance of equipmentResponsible for input & alignment to site safety, to include BSP (Basic Safety Process) and LSO (Online) training compliance.Participate in (CPS) investigations relating to equipment failures, work with site management/Global Support Services to determine root causes of failure, and the recommendation of appropriate solutions to reduce reoccurrence of/or eliminate cause of failure.Provide hands on & customer support as required for resolution of hardware/software field problems as they occur including bulk gas, instrument, electrical, mechanical and analytical equipment problems.
