ICDS (UK) Ltd in Dublin is seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical services on a major West Dublin construction project. You will oversee design coordination, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience leading building services on large construction projects.

• Manage and coordinate all building services activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee mechanical and electrical services installations, ensuring compliance with design specs and quality standards.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join a major construction project in West Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee the coordination and delivery of building services throughout the construction process, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider project team, consultants, subcontractors and other key stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of all building services systems within the overall construction programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all building services activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee mechanical and electrical services installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate building services subcontractors, consultants and specialist suppliers.
• Monitor programme progress, identifying and resolving technical issues that may impact project delivery.
• Ensure all services installations are properly integrated with the wider construction works.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions, resolving design and coordination issues as they arise.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality assurance and compliance across all building services activities.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on progress, risks and outstanding issues.
• Support commissioning, testing, handover and the completion of all relevant project documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Building Services Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Experience managing building services subcontractors and coordinating multiple project stakeholders.
• Previous experience working on large-scale or complex construction projects.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver works in line with project deadlines.
• Relevant third-level qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
