Prochem Engineering in Cork is seeking a Building Services Engineer to join an established design team. The role focuses on managing activity planning, scheduling, and assigning responsibilities to deliverables on time.

You will lead design from concept to handover, ensuring compliance with current health and safety regulations and contributing across engineering, procurement and construction phases. Experience in pharmaceutical design is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Honours engineering degree focused on building services or mechanical design.
• Six+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience with pharmaceutical design office is preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit and IES software is essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead HVAC and utilities design for projects, coordinating with clients and contractors.

We have an immediate requirement for a Building Services Engineer to work as part of an established design team in our Cork Office.

To manage activity planning, work scheduling, assigning responsibilities to the team, and ensuring deliverables can be met.

Duties

• Leading the design of a range of HVAC and utilities projects, liaising with the client users, other disciplines, contractors, etc.
• Lead the design from concept to handover.
• Ensuring all project designs are compliant with latest health & safety regulations.
• Participate in all phases of projects, from Engineering to the Procurement and Construction.
• Assist with tender and contract documentation including specifications, bills of quantities and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and timescales.
• Generation of P&ID's and other design drawings and documents.
• Presenting and leading 3-D model reviews with client teams and other stakeholders.
• Preparation of tender documents and reports.
• Construction and commissioning support.
• Construction cost estimating and cost control.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders in project implementation to achieve project and company goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum requirement is an Honours Degree in Engineering - preferably Building Services or Mechanical.
• Six years' experience (minimum) in a similar role.
• Pharmaceutical design office experience.
• Experience and knowledge of Revit and IES software is essential.
• Experience with project cost control.
• Candidates will be required to demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.
• The ability to communicate effectively with people both orally and in writing.
• The candidate must have good interpersonal skills and exemplary attention to detail.
