Job summary

Elite Talent Hub is seeking a Building Services Coordinator (M&E) for a Galway project delivery team. The role focuses on coordinating mechanical and electrical services across construction stages, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery in line with project specifications.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical/Electrical or Building Services Engineering, 3–5 years of M&E coordination experience, and strong drawing interpretation, BIM coordination and BCAR knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in an M&E coordination or Building Services role in construction.
• Experience with main contractor or M&E contractor on building projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services installations.
• Experience coordinating M&E subcontractors and managing technical interfaces on site.
• Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, architectural and structural drawings.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination, commissioning procedures and BCAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors across all stages of construction.
• Manage M&E design coordination, technical submissions, drawing reviews and installation requirements.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, Site Management, design consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure mechanical and electrical installations are coordinated with structural and architectural works.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, installation progress and compliance with project programmes.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies and service coordination clashes.
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide regular updates on M&E progress.
• Ensure installations comply with relevant building regulations, project specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections and certification of building services installations.
• Oversee snagging, defect resolution, as-built documentation and final project handover.

Our client, an established Irish main contractor with a strong portfolio of construction projects, is seeking an experienced Building Services Coordinator (M&E) to join its project delivery team in Galway.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating mechanical and electrical services throughout the construction process, ensuring installations are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate activities to meet project deadlines.
