You will coordinate mechanical and electrical services, review drawings, liaise with subcontractors, attend meetings, and support procurement and handover of M&E systems to programme.

The role requires a relevant qualification and a minimum of 3 years in M&E/Building Services, with BIM skills beneficial.

• Experience with main building contractors is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with BIM / Revit / Navisworks desirable.

M&E Coordinator – North & West Dublin

A leading main building contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to join their team, with the head office based in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, and projects located across North and West Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for an M&E professional to join an established main contractor working on a range of high-quality commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating mechanical and electrical services, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Management, subcontractors and design teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the mechanical and electrical services across assigned commercial construction projects


• Liaise with M&E subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and the wider project team


• Review and interpret M&E drawings, specifications and technical information


• Coordinate M&E services with structural, architectural and civil elements


• Monitor M&E works on site to ensure they are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements


• Attend design, coordination and progress meetings


• Identify and resolve technical issues and design clashes


• Coordinate builders’ work requirements and M&E installation sequencing


• Assist with the procurement and management of M&E subcontractor packages


• Monitor progress, quality and programme of M&E works


• Manage RFIs, technical submissions, drawings and documentation


• Assist with testing, commissioning and handover of M&E systems


• Ensure M&E works comply with project specifications, regulations and health & safety requirements

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline


• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an M&E Coordinator / Building Services role


• Previous experience working for a main building contractor highly desirable


• Strong experience on commercial construction projects


• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services


• Experience coordinating M&E subcontractors and specialist contractors


• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications


• Experience with BIM / Revit / Navisworks desirable


• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills


• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines


• Full driving licence required
