Job summary

Diageo’s St. James's Gate site in Dublin wishes to recruit a Brewer to join the Guinness brewing team. The role is 37.5 hours weekly on a 12-month fixed term contract/secondment with shifts across seven days, enabling hands-on production, process optimisation and problem solving.

You will help deliver high-quality batches and contribute to global supply through a world-class brewing centre of excellence. You will work with MES, SAP and other systems to monitor KPIs, drive improvements, and

Qualifications

Strong communicator and problem solver with a proactive mindset.
Experience in beverage production or process-led manufacturing.
Familiarity with quality, safety and environmental systems.

Responsibilities

Lead health, safety, environment and hygiene initiatives (inspections, risk assessments, audits).
Deliver production plans, monitor KPIs, and act to keep processes on track.
Optimise plant and process performance, implementing improvements where needed.
Monitor in-process quality and drive initiatives for product consistency.
Carry out maintenance checks and process audits.
Use MES, SAP, Braumat, Proleit, Harford to analyse data and drive improvement.
Apply structured problem-solving tools (Fishbone, 5 Whys, SIC) and lead root cause sessions.
Lead improvement projects and create/update SOPs.
Participate in Tier 1 team meetings and track actions to completion.
Own annual performance and personal development plan.
