Position: Maintenance Planner
Location: Limerick Region
Type: Full-Time
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support maintenance operations within a regulated biotechnology facility in the Limerick region.
The role will cover the planning and coordination of electrical, mechanical and calibration/instrumentation maintenance activities, ensuring work is safely planned, correctly documented and completed in line with site procedures and GMP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance activities.
- Support electrical, mechanical and calibration maintenance functions.
- Prepare and manage maintenance work orders through the site CMMS.
- Coordinate labour, materials, spare parts and equipment requirements.
- Raise and manage relevant Permits to Work and isolation requirements.
- Support maintenance-related deviations, investigations and follow-up actions.
- Liaise with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Quality and EHS teams.
- Monitor maintenance schedules, backlog and overdue activities.
- Ensure maintenance documentation meets GMP and data integrity requirements.
- Support shutdowns, outages and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Technical qualification or relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or Maintenance Engineering.
- Previous maintenance planning or maintenance coordination experience.
- Experience using CMMS systems.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or regulated manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of GMP, Permit-to-Work, LOTO/COHE and deviation processes would be an advantage.
